“Wade, can you tell me a joke?” I asked to try and coax a laugh. Suddenly Wade’s eyes got really big and he started repeatedly blinking. I was a little confused. “What are you doing?” I asked him. Wade looked at me and with his oh-so-sweet thick southern accent he said, “It’s like I’ve got bungee cords attached to my eyes!” He got a laugh out of me instead!
Wade’s grandma contacted me about doing some photos of him as a gift to his mom. I thought it was such a fun idea! We went out to her friend’s cotton field to get the photos. When I arrived I was warned that he had already had a full day, was tired, and really only concerned with riding in circles on his John Deere tractor. I can’t really blame him. He had a whole farm to explore!
After a few different tries, I finally convinced Wade to follow me into the cotton field. You know, we needed to make sure it wasn’t snow! I got a few smiles out of him and we ran up and down the rows of cotton. However, we STILL needed to persuade him to put his overalls on, which wasn’t too difficult once I explained to him that real farmers wear overalls (something which seems to be a goal of his right now). Once our little farmer was all set, we had more fun exploring the cotton field and looking for cows (yep, don’t you know they hang out in cotton fields?). Wade showed his pearly white teeth that he DOES brush everyday and we played some hide and seek in the cotton. He definitely won.
There’s never a dull moment hanging out with Wade. Between those beautiful big blue eyes and fun personality, you’ll have plenty to keep you entertained. It was about a year ago that I did some photos of Wade for the first time and it’s been fun comparing these photos to last years and seeing how much he’s grown. He may be getting older, but he’s still just as sweet and handsome. See for yourself!
