Sloan surprised everyone when she arrived two weeks early. Her parents were going to have one last kid-less date but Sloan had other plans!
I remember seeing Sarah post a picture of her pregnant belly that evening. I thought to myself, “Aw, she looks so cute! Not much longer!” Next thing I knew a mutual friend texted me saying that Sarah had her baby! Sarah and Anthony never even made it to their dinner date and instead headed to the hospital.
I emailed Sarah and Anthony soon after I heard the news to see if they wanted to move up our scheduled newborn photo session. It’s best to do newborn sessions within the first 12 days of birth (and really even the first 7-10 days) especially if you want those sleepy baby pics and sweet poses. Sloan was just a peanut at 6.2 lbs. I had heard she was tiny but babies always look bigger in photos. I went to mush when I saw her tiny cuddly little body.
Miss Sloan slept well for us at first and then decided she rather stay awake for all the fun! We were still able to get some sweet sleepy shots and see those pretty eyes of hers! It’s always fun watching babies grow into their personality and Sloan showed us some hints of hers. Unfortunately, because of some bumps in the road that day, we weren’t able to start our session til later than planned so we lost daylight faster. We’re hoping to get some more photos including Anthony soon but I’m glad we got a good many of sweet Sloan when she was just a week brand new!
Right now, I definitely see Sarah in Sloan’s face but babies change so much… you never know! Who do you think Sloan looks like?
P.S. Isn’t this nursery precious? I love it!
