The Gaulins | Fall Cotton Field Photos

I love when clients become friends. To me, a photo session should be fun and personal. I don’t want to just show up, take some photos, and never interact with you again. I want to know you and invite you into my life especially since you’re letting me capture a part of yours. I have recently made so many new friends from new clients booking my fall cotton field sessions and I’m excited to introduce you to some of them!

I met Kim through social media. She’s a photographer also! (click here) She had seen my posts about the cotton field sessions on instagram and reached out. We started chatting and I learned that she’s not a native southerner but definitely a southerner at heart. She and Bryce have lived in South Carolina for the past several years but are now new to the York County area…somewhat like me! Kim is such a sweet and beautiful person. Talking to her, I felt like I had known her for years…and we have YET to even hang out aside from their photo session. She was actually unsure if they could fit a session into their busy fall schedule at the time but I’m SO glad they did!

Kim and her husband, Bryce, have two beautiful girls together, Harper and Maggie, and she has a handsome stepson, Caleb. Harper and Maggie are as precious as they can be. Harper was such a little trooper and loved running through the cotton. You can tell she’s definitely use to modeling for her mama. She looked like a little doll in her sweet white dress. Her little sister, Maggie, has some of THE best facial expressions. I love how serious she looked most of the time but we definitely got some smiles out of her. I just wish I knew what was on her mind! And her lashes, I promise, they’re real. *swoon* Caleb is the perfect big brother. He is so grown up and quite the model himself. He loved on those little girls and was a big help keeping them entertained while we took pictures of Kim and Bryce.

The whole family was so easy to work with and fun to be around. I love that Kim and Bryce wanted to get a few shots on their own and recreated their “dip pose” from the day they got engaged. Too cute! I think we all could have stayed at that field and watched the sunset until it was completely dark. Everything about the evening was perfect and I’m so happy I can now say I know the Gaulins.

Now, excuse me while I set up a coffee date with Kim!
